MDG:F and UN in China, the Miao population

MDG:F and UNIDO project in China, for non-Chinese minorities. First project was made in South China with the Miao people, a minority of 8 mill. people. The countryside was breath-takingly beautiful, as were the national costumes worn by the women.The textile techniques were many, communication was difficult, materials hard to get, but it all ended up in fine products, although some were only halfway finished for the final exhibition; but being with the Miao women united in a shared knowledge of our craft, and in defiance of cultural an language differences, is such a strong experience that all troubles vanish.
